What’s Been Going On?
It’s been about a millennium and a half since I wrote anything. Okay, more like a few months…but still. What have I been doing all this time? This isn’t really a story, just an update really.
So what have I been up to, you might ask? Why do I rarely post anything? Well, I suppose I’ll address the later…first…yeah, I’m weird like that.
I really don’t get on my family computer all that much, unless I’m quickly accessing the web. Facebook, email, etc. I don’t spend much time on the web, what can I say?
What have I been up to, you might also inquire? Well, there’s a lot to say.
1) I recently completed my first story. A twenty-seven page story entitled “Love, Sara”. I enjoyed the process of adapting a short film I had seen into a modernized story.
2) I went to Magic Mountain with friends. I can assure you it was a very fun car ride. Picture the classic scene; a car full of teens, fresh out of high school. They’re blasting music as they zoom down the freeway/highway. We had a great time, though I have to say, the ride X2 is vastly overrated.
3) I just got back from camping in the tar creek/sespee river area. The creek is well named though. I came back from the twelve mile round trip with tar uner my chin, going down my neck and on the back of my neck…in my hair…
4) I’ve picked up on the Avatar: The Last Airbender series. Say what you will about my maturity for watching the series, but really, I needed to see it from start to finish. It’s so awesome. I’m about to start the third and final season.
5) I’ve been working on scholarship stuff. So far I’ve got eight thousand dollars to use at Santa Barbara City College, where I’ll be taking Beginning Spanish 1, Philosophy, Intermediate Algebra, and Reading and Composition, better known as English 110.
6) I hung out with some friends from Lompoc and Santa Barbara. We ended up going and flying a kite in the city cemetery. Possibly more on that later.
7) As I am no longer considered a youth in my church (due to my recent graduation from high school) I’ve been relieved of a lot of the responsibilities I held there.
8 ) I’ve started writing my second story, which I think can now be considered a book as it has reached the one hundred page mile stone. I’m pretty stoked on it, but have yet to come up with a name.
9) In general I’ve just been living the life. The usual hanging with friends, going ice blocking, playing video games. You know…the norm.
So that’s life as we (or I) know it. I’m having the time of my life.
